Aþas

Aþas (Old English āþas, “oaths”) is a melodic black metal band shaped by dark fantasy, pre-Conquest Anglo-Saxon mysticism, and the worlds of Dark Souls and Elden Ring.

Between savage intensity, mournful melody, and ritual atmosphere, the project explores decay, memory, obsession, and inner confrontation through ruined kingdoms, sacred flames, and forgotten vows. Aþas draws on a tragic view of human nature : where past grandeur persists amid collapse, wear, and the erosion of meaning : seeking balance between the epic and the brutal, the majestic and the declining.

The Anglo-Saxon past is a long-distant ruin: magnificent and fragmentary, like a world in Dark Souls. Aþas gives voice to that ruin : oaths, fallen kingdoms, and silent strength, amplified through melodic black metal.

Fully prepared to transition into a live lineup, Aþas is actively seeking opportunities for live performance, as well as collaborations with labels and promoters.
